岗位职责
As a Community Living Manager, you will serve as a live-in house manager for three adults with disabilities while simultaneously pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Services & Management at McDaniel College. This two-year role combines direct residential support with academic study, allowing you to apply classroom learning to real-world situations.
Your primary responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of a shared home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for residents. You will coordinate and assist with personal care tasks, such as hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management, as needed. You will also facilitate community integration by planning and accompanying residents on outings, recreational activities, and appointments. Additionally, you will manage household tasks, including budgeting, grocery shopping, cleaning, and maintenance. You will document resident progress, behavior, and incidents, and communicate regularly with families, case managers, and other professionals. You will also participate in training and team meetings to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
This role requires you to live on-site, providing 24/7 availability for emergencies and routine support. You will balance these duties with your graduate coursework, which is integrated into the program schedule. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human services while earning a master's degree with significant tuition support.
