Entry Level Attorney

This entry-level attorney position focuses on landlord/tenant law, with responsibilities split evenly between administrative practice and litigation. The role involves 50% administrative law work before the Division of Housing & Community Renewal (DHCR), including preparing and filing documents, attending administrative hearings, and advising clients on regulatory compliance. The other 50% involves litigation, requiring frequent court appearances in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan. Responsibilities include drafting legal pleadings, motions, and correspondence; conducting legal research; representing clients in court proceedings; negotiating settlements; and managing case files from inception to resolution. Strong writing skills are essential for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents. The firm provides training, making this an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate to gain hands-on experience in a busy practice.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York State Bar is preferred, but candidates awaiting bar exam results or recently admitted will be considered. Prior experience in landlord/tenant law is not required, as the firm is willing to train, but familiarity with New York housing court procedures is a plus.
