Regional Truck Driver

As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods across regional routes. Your primary duties include completing assigned deliveries and pickups in a timely manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies. You will participate in a structured entry-level program, beginning with a six-week training period under the guidance of an experienced driver trainer. During this training, you will learn route navigation, vehicle inspection procedures, and efficient loading/unloading practices. After successfully completing the training, you will transition to solo driving, managing your own routes and schedules. You will handle various types of freight, including drop and hook operations, live loads, and live unloads. You are expected to maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel usage, and delivery documentation. Additionally, you will perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition. You may be required to assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed, using proper lifting techniques and safety equipment. Detention pay is provided for delays beyond the first hour at pickup or delivery locations. You will also receive compensation for drop and hook stops, live load/unload stops, and live lifts. Your role is critical to maintaining efficient supply chain operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable service.

Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL-A) obtained from an accredited training program. Recent graduation from a CDL-A training program is required for this entry-level position. No prior solo driving experience is necessary, but candidates must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Must be at least 21 years of age. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions during the six-week training period. Physical capability to perform pre-trip inspections, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle loading/unloading tasks. Basic math skills for logging mileage and hours. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as regional routes require. Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and customers.
