Social Worker -HUD VASH

The Social Worker will serve as a primary point of contact partnering with local Public Housing Authorities, providing comprehensive social work services to homeless Veterans and their families enrolled in the Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program. Responsibilities include ensuring the Veteran's care is appropriately coordinated with the VA Medical Facility, community health or mental health providers, and agencies that serve homeless populations.

United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency: Social workers must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Miami VA Healthcare System is a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center providing healthcare and social services to veterans, including the HUD-VASH program for homeless veterans.
