Data Engineering Manager

Spokeo is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to help build a state-of-the-art analytics platform. As a Data Engineering Manager, you will report directly to our Director of Data Engineering and lead a cross-functional team of data engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions that meet our data, reporting, and analytics needs. You will provide leadership and technical skills to champion and implement data governance, data integrity, data engineering standards, data integration, and QA best practices. You will partner closely with our Product Owners to understand requirements, provide technical guidance to the team, and ensure the timely delivery of quality solutions.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and executives to understand and fulfill our data needs

Lead database development, data pipeline, integration, ETL, modeling, and data architecture using AWS technologies

Develop software engineering best practices, guidelines, procedures, and repeatable and scalable frameworks

5+ years of experience with data pipelines orchestration tools like Airflow.

2+ years of experience managing data engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and mentoring data engineers.

Expertise in data lakes, warehouses, modeling, ETL, and big data platforms.

Familiarity with MLOps to help design, automate, and streamline the entire lifecycle of ML models.

- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role

- Strong expertise in AWS technologies (e.g., Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda) for data pipeline, ETL, and architecture

- Hands-on experience with database development, data modeling, integration, and ETL processes

- Strong collaboration skills to work with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and executives

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
