We are looking for a Senior Analytics Consultant (Looker) to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will help clients in Brazil and across LATAM gain tangible value from their data by designing and delivering impactful Looker-based analytics and visualization solutions. You will translate business needs into actionable, scalable analytics experiences that enable self-service and better decision-making. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders and internal delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and advance phData's delivery excellence.

Lead the delivery of Looker-centric analytics engagements, translating business requirements into prototypes, dashboards, and production-grade visualization solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Own client communication for your workstreams, including status updates and working sessions, to manage expectations, gather feedback, and ensure alignment on priorities and success criteria.

Drive the design, development, and optimization of LookML models, data structures, and SQL queries to ensure performant, reliable, and user-friendly analytics experiences.

Guide clients on best practices for data visualization, data preparation, and overall analytics architecture, recommending improvements that enhance usability, scalability, and maintainability.

Contribute to backlog refinement and issue resolution by analyzing, troubleshooting, and tuning Looker solutions and related data pipelines to improve performance and reliability.

You are a client-focused analytics practitioner who enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights for business users. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment and collaborating with distributed, global teams. You thrive on learning new tools and approaches, and you communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

3+ years of relevant experience and/or demonstrated expertise in data analytics and data visualization platforms in an enterprise environment.

Strong data visualization skills using Looker, including LookML development, dashboard creation, and advanced visualization techniques.

Proficiency in SQL, working with data warehouses, data marts, and analytical data models to support scalable reporting solutions.

Experience with data preparation tools such as Alteryx or KNIME (or similar platforms) to shape, enrich, and optimize data for analytics use cases.

Knowledge of related BI and analytics tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Omni, or dbt.

Demonstrated data fluency and ability to clearly communicate analytical concepts and insights to business users.

Preferred qualifications help candidates stand out but are not required for success in this role.

2+ years of consulting experience working directly with external or internal clients on analytics or BI initiatives.

Looker certification (LookML Developer or equivalent) and experience with Looker administration, including managing permissions, user access, security roles, and infrastructure setup.

Experience integrating Looker with other analytics platforms or embedding Looker in business applications.

Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Previous experience leading teams of consultants to ensure performance, utilization, and successful project delivery.

- Proven experience as a Senior Analytics Consultant or similar role, with a strong focus on Looker-based analytics and visualization solutions.

- Expertise in designing and delivering production-grade Looker dashboards, prototypes, and scalable analytics experiences.

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable, self-service analytics solutions.

- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.

- Experience in leading analytics engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes and delivery excellence.

- Proficiency in data modeling and visualization best practices within Looker.

- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, given the Brazil and LATAM client focus.

- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) and modern data stack tools is preferred.

- Ability to work in a remote-first environment with cross-cultural teams across the US, Latin America, and India.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business) or equivalent practical experience.
