Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of the organization's enterprise data architecture. This role is responsible for defining data strategies, establishing architecture standards, and designing scalable data solutions that enable business intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to ensure data is accessible, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise DataArchitecture
Define and maintain the organization's enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technology roadmaps.
Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support enterprise-wide data initiatives.
Establish enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and best practices to promote consistency and scalability.
Develop and maintain architecture documentation, data inventories, and data flow diagrams.
Data Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement enterprise data strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Establish and promote data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and data management best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data roadmaps and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Participate in project governance activities to ensure compliance with enterprise data architecture standards.
Data Integration & Platform Design
Design scalable data integration solutions that enable efficient data movement across enterprise platforms.
Architect modern data ecosystems, including cloud-based data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse environments.
Oversee data migration initiatives, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data integration strategies.
Recommend improvements to data transformation, loading methodologies, and overall data architecture using modern technologies and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable architectural solutions.
Collaborate with data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, application development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver enterprise data capabilities.
Communicate architectural concepts and solution designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics teams.
Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise data management, integration, and architecture practices.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve enterprise data capabilities.
Promote adoption of modern cloud-native data platforms, big data technologies, streaming architectures, and advanced data engineering practices.
Data Security & Compliance
Ensure enterprise data solutions comply with data privacy regulations, security standards, and organizational governance requirements.
Collaborate with security teams to implement appropriate controls for data protection, access management, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, enterprise data management, or related roles.
Extensive experience designing enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern cloud-based data architectures.
Strong background in enterprise data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data quality initiatives.
Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions using platforms such as AWS or equivalent cloud providers.
Proven experience leading technical teams and providing architectural guidance across enterprise data initiatives.
Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance best practices.
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS) are an advantage.
