Interdisciplinary NMC Counselor

Serve as a Non-medical Clinical Counselor within the Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP).

Provide nonmedical clinical counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups on family dynamics, parent-child interaction, couples' communication, adjustment to commonly occurring personal and family issues/circumstances, adjustment to military life, and psycho-educational training programs.

Manage assigned cases, consulting with the Region Quality Assurance (QA) personnel or Supervisor where the case is highly complex or presents with special issues.

Knowledge of the military lifestyle, including specific demands such as frequent separations and high stress working environments.

Ability to present sensitive, at times controversial, information to groups of people in a clear, concise manner.
