Nurse Extern I - Nursing Internship - PRN

This position provides the student nurse an opportunity to work under the direction of a registered nurse and to gain experience in the areas of nursing professional, nursing processes and nursing practice. This hands-on experience will include educational sessions, job shadow, and assist in patient care. May provide patient care in a CNA role as approved by manager (see CNA position description). Responsibilities include maintaining consistency with administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Must have a valid student nurse permit or certification as required by state regulations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
