The Infection Preventionist (IP) Consultant is responsible for supporting the Infection Control program to ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care. Reporting to the Manager, Infection Control, this role collaborates with the Infection Control Committee and Infectious Disease physicians to develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting investigative and audit functions related to infection control, including reviews for The Joint Commission (TJC), Sentinel Events, Office of Inspector General (OIG), and Fact Findings.
