Mechanical Apprentice

As a Mechanical Apprentice, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of bespoke designed project parts and components. Your primary duties include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to accurately produce mechanical assemblies. You will work with a variety of materials and tools, including hand tools, power tools, and machinery, to cut, shape, and join components. You will assist in the installation and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. You will also perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed. Collaboration with senior engineers and technicians is essential to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. You will maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will participate in ongoing training to develop your skills in mechanical engineering and fabrication techniques.

High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interest in mechanical engineering and hands-on work. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Previous experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
