As a Quality Intern on a 13-month placement, you will play a key role in leading cross-functional teams to ensure food safety and the production of high-quality foods. This hands-on opportunity involves working within the Mller Yogurts & Desserts business unit, focusing on quality control management in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating cross-functional teams to maintain and improve food safety standards and product quality.
- Conducting regular quality inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products.
- Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Analyzing quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborating with production, supply chain, and other departments to resolve quality-related problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of documentation, including standard operating procedures and quality records.
- Participating in internal and external audits, and assisting in the preparation of audit responses.
- Contributing to training programs for production staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Assisting in the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Engaging in projects aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and optimizing processes.
This role provides exposure to real-world quality management in a leading FMCG company, offering practical experience in food safety, quality assurance, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications and requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong interest in quality control and food safety within the FMCG industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Previous internship or work experience in a manufacturing or quality environment is a plus.
- Must be available for a 13-month placement starting in July 2026.
