岗位职责

As an IT Cluster Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day implementation of IT services across multiple schools within the trust. Your primary responsibilities will include providing first-line technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring that IT systems operate smoothly. You will assist with the setup, maintenance, and deployment of devices such as laptops, desktops, tablets, and interactive whiteboards. Additionally, you will help manage network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity and printer services, and support the rollout of new technologies and software updates. You will work closely with the central IT team to monitor system performance, resolve incidents, and escalate complex problems as needed. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate IT asset inventories and documentation. This role involves collaborating with school staff to understand their technology needs and providing training or guidance on using IT tools effectively. You will participate in project-based work, such as upgrading hardware or implementing new educational software, and help ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity policies. The position offers exposure to a wide range of IT systems and practices, allowing you to develop practical skills in a real-world educational environment. You will be expected to communicate clearly with non-technical users, prioritize tasks in a busy school setting, and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving. Overall, you will be an integral part of the team that enables effective teaching and learning through reliable technology support.

You must be willing to work in a school environment and adhere to safeguarding policies. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle may be beneficial for traveling between school sites. You should be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
