Role
Our client is a character driven entertainment company operating at the intersection of comics, anime, animation, social media, technology, and digital entertainment.
They are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to help grow their online presence, engage communities, build creator relationships, and produce content across multiple platforms.
This role combines content creation, community building, creator outreach, and growth marketing. You will help shape the future of an established comic and entertainment IP by creating engaging content, growing audiences, identifying opportunities, and building meaningful relationships within fandom communities.
The ideal candidate is someone who is immersed in anime, comics, gaming, fandom communities, memes, and internet culture.
Responsibilities:
• Create, schedule, and publish content across multiple social media platforms
• Produce content across formats including posts, memes, clips, reels, short-form videos, graphics, polls, and community engagement content
• Generate fresh content ideas inspired by comics, anime, gaming, fandom culture, internet trends, and current events
• Adapt content for platform specific audiences across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging platforms
• Collaborate with artists, writers, editors, creators, and other team members to develop engaging social first content
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate content creation, ideation, research, and production
• Help grow followers, engagement, reach, and overall brand awareness
• Monitor trends, conversations, memes, and opportunities in real time
• Test new content formats, campaigns, and growth strategies
• Track content performance and optimize based on results
• Research and identify relevant creators, influencers, artists, writers, streamers, podcasters, and community leaders
• Conduct outreach and relationship building with creators and potential partners
• Secure collaborations, partnerships, interviews, giveaways, guest appearances, and cross-promotional opportunities
• Maintain creator databases and collaboration pipelines
• Engage directly with fans and community members across platforms
• Participate in conversations within anime, comic, gaming, and fandom communities
• Help transform casual followers into active community members
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, influencer marketing, community management or growth marketing
• Strong English communication skills (C1/C2), both written and verbal
• Deep familiarity with anime, comics, gaming, fandom communities, memes, and internet culture
• Strong understanding of social media trends, content performance, and audience engagement
• Comfortable creating and publishing content at a high volume
• Strong relationship building and networking skills
• Highly proactive, resourceful, and self directed mindset
Highly Preferred:
• Experience within entertainment, animation, film, gaming, creator economy, comics, anime, social media, or digital media industries
• Existing relationships with creators, influencers, artists, podcasters, YouTubers, streamers, or fandom communities
• Experience growing social media accounts from the ground up
• Experience managing Reddit communities, meme pages, or fan communities
• Experience with creator partnerships, ambassador programs, or influencer outreach
• Experience using AI tools for content creation and social media workflows

Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Must be available during U.S. Pacific business hours.
While this role is structured to begin at 20 hours per week, there is flexibility to offer an immediate or accelerated full-time position to candidates who demonstrate exceptional content creation, community building, and growth marketing capabilities.
