2026 Internship Program (RICHMOND)

As a participant in the 2026 Internship Program at Kings Dominion & Soak City, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic amusement park environment. Your responsibilities will be tailored to your assigned department and may include: Operations: Assist in the daily operation of rides and attractions, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. Monitor ride queues, enforce safety protocols, and provide exceptional customer service. Guest Services: Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing the overall visitor experience. Assist with ticket sales, lost and found, and park information. Entertainment: Contribute to live shows and special events by assisting with stage management, costume maintenance, or performer coordination. Help ensure seamless execution of entertainment offerings. Marketing & Communications: Support promotional campaigns, social media content creation, and event planning. Assist with market research and data analysis to drive guest engagement. Administration: Provide clerical support to various departments, including scheduling, record-keeping, and inventory management. Participate in team meetings and project coordination. Safety & Maintenance: Learn about park safety standards and assist with routine inspections, equipment checks, and maintenance tasks under supervision. Throughout the program, you will collaborate with a diverse team, attend professional development workshops, and contribute to the park's mission of delivering fun and memorable experiences. - Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an accredited college or university - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment - Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts - Must be at least 18 years of age - Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred - Interest in theme park operations, entertainment, or hospitality management - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
