2026 Internship Program (FREDERICKSBURG)

As a 2026 Intern at Kings Dominion & Soak City in Fredericksburg, Virginia, you will gain hands-on experience in a premier amusement and water park environment. Your responsibilities will be tailored to your assigned department and may include: - Guest Services: Assist guests with inquiries, provide directions, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive experience throughout the park. - Ride Operations: Operate and monitor rides and attractions, enforce safety procedures, and assist guests with boarding and exiting. - Food & Beverage: Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintain cleanliness in dining areas, and handle cash transactions. - Retail: Stock merchandise, assist customers with purchases, and maintain store displays. - Entertainment: Support live shows and events, assist with costume characters, and help with crowd management. - Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, repairs, and cleaning of rides, facilities, and equipment. - Administrative: Assist with office tasks, data entry, scheduling, and departmental support as needed. - Safety & Security: Monitor park areas, enforce rules, and respond to incidents or emergencies. Throughout the internship, you will participate in structured learning activities, team projects, and networking opportunities. You will work collaboratively with park staff to deliver exceptional service, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the overall guest experience. To be considered for the 2026 Internship Program at Kings Dominion & Soak City, you must meet the following qualifications: - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university. - Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the internship. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. - Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Reliable transportation to and from Fredericksburg, VA. - Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred but not required. - Must pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
