2026 Internship Program (MONTPELIER)

As an intern in the 2026 Internship Program at Kings Dominion & Soak City, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic amusement park environment. Your responsibilities will be tailored to your assigned department and may include: Guest Services and Operations: Assist with daily park operations, including greeting and assisting guests, managing ride queues, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing exceptional customer service. Support special events and seasonal activities to enhance guest experiences. Ride and Attractions Management: Help operate and monitor rides and attractions, ensuring they run smoothly and safely. Conduct routine inspections, assist with maintenance tasks, and respond to guest inquiries or concerns. Entertainment and Events: Participate in the coordination and execution of live shows, performances, and unique attractions. Assist with setup, crowd management, and behind-the-scenes logistics to ensure seamless event delivery. Administrative Support: Provide clerical and organizational support to various departments, including data entry, scheduling, inventory management, and communication with team members. Contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies. Participate in training sessions to understand emergency procedures and risk management. Report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of professionals, attend regular meetings, and contribute ideas for improving park operations and guest satisfaction. Build lasting professional relationships and network with industry experts. Throughout the internship, you will develop practical skills in customer service, problem-solving, teamwork, and time management. - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university (undergraduate or graduate program). - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the park's operating schedule. - Demonstrated interest in hospitality, tourism, entertainment, or related fields. - Prior customer service or team-based experience preferred but not required. - Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the internship. - Reliable transportation to and from the park location.
