Amusement Park Experience Internship (RICHMOND)

As an Amusement Park Experience Intern at Kings Dominion & Soak City, you will contribute to creating memorable guest experiences across the park's 60+ rides, live shows, attractions, water slides, and special events. Your responsibilities will include: - Guest Engagement: Interact with guests to ensure a positive experience, answer questions, provide directions, and assist with ride and attraction information. - Operations Support: Assist in daily park operations, including ride and attraction monitoring, crowd management, and maintaining safety protocols. - Event Assistance: Support special events throughout the season, helping with setup, guest flow, and activity coordination. - Team Collaboration: Work closely with park staff and other interns to deliver seamless service and uphold park standards. - Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns or issues promptly, escalating to supervisors as needed. - Feedback Collection: Gather guest feedback to help improve park experiences and report insights to management. - Training Participation: Attend required training sessions on safety, customer service, and park policies. - Administrative Tasks: Complete basic administrative duties such as logging incidents, updating schedules, and maintaining records. - Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff. - Seasonal Projects: Contribute to seasonal projects, such as new attraction launches or promotional events, as assigned.

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications: - Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited college or university program (preferably in hospitality, tourism, recreation, or a related field). - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a guest-focused attitude. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment for extended periods, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. - Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. - Previous customer service or theme park experience is a plus but not required. - Must be at least 18 years of age. - Ability to pass a background check and comply with park safety standards.
