Registered Nurse - Spinal Cord Injury

The Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Spinal Cord Injury/Disorder unit at the Milwaukee VA provides direct patient care to individuals with spinal cord injuries and disorders. Responsibilities include delivering fundamental, knowledge-based care while developing technical competencies, integrating biopsychosocial concepts, and demonstrating technically competent practice. The nurse will manage complex client situations through conscious and deliberate planning, self-directed goal setting, and collaborative strategies to improve holistic care.

Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f). Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency (ACEN or CCNE) at the time of program completion.
