Summer Internship

As a Summer Intern in the Market Internship department, you will gain hands-on experience in broadcast media operations. Reporting to the Brand Manager, your responsibilities will include: - Assisting with daily station operations, including content preparation and scheduling for music, news, or sports programming. - Supporting the production team in editing audio clips, creating promotional materials, and coordinating live broadcasts. - Conducting research on market trends, audience demographics, and competitor activities to inform programming decisions. - Participating in social media management by drafting posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics. - Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns and events. - Attending station meetings and contributing ideas for content improvement and audience growth. - Performing administrative tasks such as organizing files, managing schedules, and responding to listener inquiries. - Learning about regulatory compliance and industry standards relevant to broadcast media. - Shadowing experienced professionals across departments to understand the full scope of station operations. - Completing a capstone project that demonstrates your learning and contributions to the station.

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications: - Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a degree program related to communications, media, marketing, or a related field. - Strong interest in broadcast media, including music, news, or sports. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Ability to work part-time, on-site in Buffalo, NY. - Prior internship or volunteer experience in media or marketing is preferred but not required. - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
