RN - Registered Nurse - Geisinger School of Nursing Adjunct Faculty - Per Diem

As an Adjunct Faculty member for the Geisinger School of Nursing, you will deliver instruction and support to nursing students in a per diem capacity. Your primary responsibilities include: - Teaching and facilitating classroom, simulation-based, and clinical learning experiences for students enrolled in the associate degree program for LPNs and RNs. - Developing and implementing curriculum that integrates evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and professional development. - Providing hands-on instruction and supervision during clinical rotations within Geisinger facilities to ensure students gain practical skills. - Assessing student performance through evaluations, feedback, and grading to support their progression toward becoming entry-level registered nurses. - Collaborating with full-time faculty and program coordinators to align instructional methods with program goals and accreditation standards. - Maintaining current knowledge of nursing education trends and regulatory requirements to enhance teaching effectiveness. - Participating in faculty meetings and professional development activities as needed to contribute to program improvement.

To be considered for this role, you must have: - A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania. - A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. - At least two years of recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care or relevant healthcare setting. - Prior teaching or precepting experience in nursing education is highly desirable. - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues. - Ability to work per diem hours, including flexibility to accommodate day, evening, or weekend schedules as needed.
