The Education to Employment Specialist serves as a key liaison between individuals transitioning from education and training into meaningful careers within healthcare and medical services. This role bridges students, recent graduates, and entry-level candidates with diverse clinical and non-clinical career paths across an integrated health system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing career transition programs that support individuals from educational settings into employment.
- Collaborating with educational institutions, training programs, and internal departments to identify talent pipelines and placement opportunities.
- Providing individualized coaching and guidance to candidates on resume building, interview preparation, and career planning.
- Coordinating job placement activities, including matching candidates with appropriate roles and facilitating onboarding processes.
- Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to ensure successful transitions and retention of new hires.
- Building relationships with hiring managers and department leaders to understand workforce needs and align candidate skills accordingly.
- Organizing workshops, career fairs, and informational sessions to promote career pathways within the organization.
- Maintaining accurate records of candidate progress, placements, and program metrics for reporting and continuous improvement.
- Acting as a resource for candidates navigating the transition from education to employment, addressing barriers and providing support as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, career counseling, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in career services, workforce development, talent acquisition, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare career pathways and the transition from education to employment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including educational partners, candidates, and internal teams.
