Performs, calculates, and reports routine and special laboratory tests. Maintains laboratory equipment and troubleshoots operational problems. Evaluates test results and quality control data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Serves as a resource for new employees and students, providing training and guidance. Assists in evaluating and implementing new test procedures. Ensures compliance with laboratory standards and protocols. Collaborates with healthcare team members to support patient care. Documents all activities in accordance with regulatory requirements. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains a safe work environment.

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) from a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT). Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and teaching skills. Proficiency in laboratory information systems. Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends as needed.
