Nurse - Oncology

The Oncology Nurse provides direct patient care to individuals with cancer, delivering fundamental to complex nursing care based on the nurse's grade and level. Responsibilities include: assessing patient health status, developing and implementing care plans, administering chemotherapy and other treatments, monitoring for side effects, and providing patient and family education. The nurse integrates biopsychosocial concepts and evidence-based practice to manage complex client situations, demonstrating proficiency in goal setting and self-directed care.

Basic Requirements: 1. Proficiency in basic written and spoken English (per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f)). 2. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency (e.g., ACEN or CCNE).
