As a Loan Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving loan origination and sales growth by engaging with customers to understand their financial needs and offering appropriate lending solutions. Your primary duties include:
Customer Engagement and Needs Assessment: Proactively reach out to potential and existing customers to identify their financing requirements for personal expenses, debt consolidation, home improvements, or other life events. Conduct thorough consultations to evaluate creditworthiness and recommend suitable loan products.
Sales and Origination: Generate new loan applications through outbound calls, in-person interactions, and follow-ups. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for customers. Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets consistently.
Product Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all loan products, interest rates, terms, and underwriting guidelines. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and fair lending practices.
Customer Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with customers by providing exceptional service, transparent communication, and ongoing support. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and facilitate loan servicing needs post-origination.
Collaboration and Team Support: Work closely with branch team members, underwriters, and operations staff to streamline loan processing and improve customer experience. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and sales contests to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Accurately document all customer interactions and sales activities in the company’s CRM system. Track personal sales metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement to achieve growth objectives.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in financial services, consumer lending, or a related field. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- **Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse customers. Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing abilities. Proficiency in using CRM software and basic computer applications.
- **Knowledge**: Understanding of consumer loan products, credit evaluation, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, fair lending laws). Familiarity with loan origination systems is a plus.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- **Personal Attributes**: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient in a competitive environment. Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
