As a Loan Consultant, you will be responsible for engaging with customers to understand their financial needs and providing them with appropriate loan solutions. Your primary duties include:
Customer Engagement: Listen actively to customers' financial situations and goals, and recommend suitable loan products that align with their needs. Build rapport and trust to ensure a positive customer experience.
Sales and Origination: Drive loan sales by presenting financing options, explaining terms and conditions, and guiding customers through the application process. Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets in a competitive environment.
Application Processing: Collect and verify customer information, including income, credit history, and other relevant documentation. Ensure accuracy and completeness of loan applications to facilitate timely approvals.
Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to all regulatory and company policies regarding loan origination, disclosures, and record-keeping. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer data with integrity.
Problem Resolution: Address customer inquiries, concerns, or issues related to loan products or processes. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex cases and ensure customer satisfaction.
Performance Tracking: Monitor personal sales metrics and performance indicators. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and professional development to enhance sales effectiveness and customer service skills.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in sales, customer service, or financial services is highly desirable. Experience in loan origination or consumer lending is a plus.
- **Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Excellent listening and negotiation abilities.
- **Competencies**: Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary loan origination software.
- **Licensing**: Must be able to obtain and maintain any required state-specific licenses for loan origination (e.g., NMLS registration) within a specified timeframe.
- **Other**: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
