Apprentice Educator

As an Apprentice Educator at Busy Bees, you will work directly with children in a nursery setting, supporting their learning and development under the guidance of experienced early years professionals. Your primary responsibilities include assisting in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. You will help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can explore, play, and learn. Daily tasks involve supervising children during play, meals, and rest times, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times. You will also contribute to observations and assessments of children's progress, recording their achievements and sharing insights with senior staff and parents. Additionally, you will support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, following policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and education. As an apprentice, you will actively participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning, developing practical skills in child development, behavior management, and communication. You will collaborate with a team of educators to foster positive relationships with children and families, promoting a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to personal and professional growth within the early years sector.

To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for working with children and a strong desire to build a career in the early years sector. No prior formal qualifications are required, but you must be willing to undertake an apprenticeship program leading to a recognized early years qualification. You should demonstrate good communication skills, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team. A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to learning are essential. You must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safeguarding and health and safety policies. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are expected. Previous experience with children (e.g., babysitting, volunteering) is advantageous but not mandatory.
