Communications Intern

As a Communications Intern for Cantu, you will support the delivery of social media, PR, and communications activity across the UK and Europe. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international marketing environment, working across organic and paid social media, influencer activity, PR, and campaign delivery. Your key responsibilities include: - Social Media Management: Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content for Cantu’s social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook). Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and analyze performance metrics to optimize content strategy. - Influencer Coordination: Support the identification, outreach, and relationship management of influencers and content creators. Coordinate product shipments, briefs, and track campaign deliverables. - PR Support: Help draft press releases, media pitches, and brand materials. Monitor media coverage and compile press clippings. Assist in organizing press events or product launches. - Campaign Delivery: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute integrated campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. Track campaign timelines, budgets, and results. - Content Creation: Assist in developing visual and written content for social media, including photography, video, and copywriting. Ensure content reflects Cantu’s brand voice and resonates with the textured hair community. - Market Research: Conduct research on trends, competitors, and consumer insights within the textured hair and beauty industry. Provide recommendations to enhance brand positioning. - Reporting: Prepare regular reports on social media performance, influencer ROI, and PR coverage. Use data to inform future strategies. - Administrative Tasks: Manage sample inventory, coordinate logistics for events, and maintain contact lists. Support team with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications and requirements: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. - Strong passion for textured hair care and the Cantu brand. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and basic content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite). - Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) is a plus. - Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 2 office days per week in Uxbridge. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of the UK and European beauty market is desirable. - Previous internship or work experience in marketing, PR, or social media is preferred.
