Apprenticeship Engagement Coordinator

The Apprenticeship Engagement Coordinator will lead efforts to connect learners with meaningful work experience and apprenticeship opportunities. Key responsibilities include: Learner Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies to attract and recruit learners for pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs. This involves conducting outreach activities, managing application processes, and ensuring a diverse pool of candidates. Employer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify apprenticeship and work experience opportunities. Act as the primary point of contact for employers, facilitating placements and ensuring alignment between learner skills and employer needs. Program Promotion: Promote apprenticeship programs to potential learners, schools, community groups, and other stakeholders. Deliver presentations, attend events, and create marketing materials to raise awareness of program benefits. Placement Coordination: Match learners with suitable apprenticeship or work experience placements based on their interests, skills, and career goals. Monitor placements to ensure positive outcomes for both learners and employers. Support and Guidance: Provide ongoing support to learners throughout the recruitment and placement process, including advice on applications, interviews, and workplace expectations. Collaborate with training staff to address any issues that arise. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of learner and employer interactions, placements, and program outcomes. Use data to track progress, report on key metrics, and inform continuous improvement. Travel: Travel across the local area to meet with employers, attend events, and support learners in various locations.

Qualifications and requirements: - Experience in recruitment, employer engagement, or a related field, preferably within education or training. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. - Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail. - Proficiency in using data management systems and standard office software. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across the local area. - Knowledge of apprenticeship programs and the local labor market is desirable. - Education to A-level or equivalent is preferred; relevant vocational qualifications may be considered.
