Trainee Recruitment Consultant

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and candidates within the construction industry. Your primary duties include sourcing and attracting top talent through various channels, such as job boards, social media, and networking events. You will conduct initial candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to ensure suitability for client requirements. Additionally, you will manage the full recruitment cycle from job briefing to offer negotiation and placement. You will work closely with senior consultants to develop your sales and negotiation skills, learning to manage client accounts and identify new business opportunities. You will also maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities in the company's database, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. You will participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve your knowledge of the construction sector and recruitment best practices. Your role will involve cold calling and business development to expand the client base, as well as providing exceptional customer service to both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process. You will be expected to meet and exceed individual and team targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the agency.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. You must be highly motivated, target-driven, and resilient, with a desire to work in a fast-paced sales environment. No prior recruitment experience is required, but a background in sales, customer service, or business development is advantageous. You should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A proactive and self-starting attitude is essential, along with a willingness to learn and adapt. Proficiency in using computers and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) is required. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are preferred due to the location of the role. You must be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
