Security Internships

As a Security Intern at Cedar Point, you will gain hands-on experience in the hospitality and amusement park tourism industry by supporting the daily operational tasks of the Security Division. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property through proactive monitoring and response. You will assist in conducting patrols of the park, parking lots, and surrounding areas to identify and mitigate potential risks. You will also respond to incidents, such as medical emergencies, disturbances, or safety hazards, and document findings in detailed reports. Additionally, you will collaborate with full-time security staff to enforce park policies and procedures, including crowd management during peak hours and special events. You will participate in group projects aimed at improving security protocols and guest service strategies. This role requires excellent guest service skills, as you will interact with visitors to address concerns and provide directions or assistance. You will also utilize leadership skills to support team coordination and ensure a successful operation. The internship is designed to align with college-level requirements, offering practical exposure to security operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in criminal justice, security management, hospitality, or a related field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and walking extensive distances. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Ability to pass a background check.
