Veterinarian Internship

This is a small animal rotating internship position. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting, rotating through various departments to develop diagnostic, medical, and surgical skills. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, administering medications, assisting in surgeries, and providing emergency care. The intern will also collaborate with senior veterinarians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care, maintain accurate medical records, and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment options and follow-up care. Additionally, the intern will participate in case discussions, rounds, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and proficiency in small animal medicine.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school. Eligibility for state veterinary licensure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple cases simultaneously. Prior clinical experience in small animal medicine is preferred but not required. Commitment to completing the full internship duration.
