Entry Level Structural Engineering Graduate

As an Entry Level Structural Engineering Graduate, you will be responsible for supporting the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of projects, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure. Your primary duties will include: - Assisting senior engineers in developing structural designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis tools. - Performing calculations and simulations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with relevant codes and standards. - Preparing technical drawings, specifications, and reports for project documentation. - Conducting site visits to inspect existing structures and monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to design specifications. - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, civil engineers, and project managers, to integrate structural solutions into overall project plans. - Participating in design reviews and contributing to value engineering efforts to optimize cost and performance. - Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in structural engineering. You will work on projects that range from facilities delivering life-saving therapies and ensuring clean water to enabling transportation connectivity and providing access to technology. To be successful in this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited program. - Strong foundational knowledge of structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and design principles. - Proficiency in structural engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. - Familiarity with building codes and standards (e.g., ASCE, AISC, ACI). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and report preparation. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Prior internship or co-op experience in structural engineering is preferred but not required. - EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or eligibility to obtain it is a plus.
