Carpentry Apprentice

As a Carpentry Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters to learn and perform a variety of carpentry tasks. Your primary responsibilities include assisting with the construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures. You will be involved in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools. You will help with framing walls, roofs, and floors, as well as installing doors, windows, cabinets, and trim. Additionally, you will support the team in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects. You will maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. You will also participate in on-the-job training and development programs to build your skills and knowledge in carpentry techniques, tool usage, and construction methods. Your role will involve collaborating with other tradespeople and contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of construction projects.

To be considered for this role, you should have a strong interest in carpentry and construction. No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn and a good work ethic are essential. You must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are necessary. You should be comfortable using hand and power tools under supervision. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are important. A valid driver's license may be beneficial for travel to different work sites. You must be at least 16 years old and have a commitment to completing the apprenticeship program.
