As an Apprentice Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of lift equipment from various manufacturers. Your primary duties include performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and carrying out repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work under the supervision of experienced engineers, learning to use diagnostic tools and follow safety protocols. Additionally, you will assist in the installation of new lift systems when required, document service activities, and communicate with clients to provide updates on work progress. This role involves working on-site at various locations, requiring flexibility and a willingness to travel within your assigned region. You will also participate in training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge of industry standards, contributing to the overall reliability and performance of lift systems.

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you must have a strong interest in engineering and mechanical systems. No prior experience is required, but a basic understanding of electrical or mechanical principles is beneficial. You should possess good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential. You must be physically fit to handle manual tasks and work in confined spaces. A full UK driving license is preferred but not mandatory. You should have completed secondary education with GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent qualifications. Strong communication skills and a commitment to completing the apprenticeship program are also required.
