Apprentice Plumber - no experience required

As an Apprentice Plumber, you will be responsible for studying plumbing and pipe fittings to develop foundational knowledge in the trade. You will learn to install and maintain heating systems, including all associated plumbing and pipework, ensuring functionality and safety across various facilities. Your duties will include performing heat-loss calculations to determine appropriate heating requirements for different spaces. Additionally, you will become proficient in interpreting and creating basic technical drawings to support installation and maintenance tasks. This role involves working on a range of buildings, from bases in Europe to hospitals in the UK and temporary camps in Africa, where heating and plumbing are essential for operational effectiveness.

No prior experience is required for this entry-level position. Candidates must be willing to undergo training and study plumbing and pipe fittings. A commitment to learning installation and maintenance of heating systems, including plumbing and pipework, is essential. Basic mathematical skills for heat-loss calculations and an aptitude for understanding technical drawings are beneficial. Full-time availability as a soldier in the Army is required.
