Engineering Internship

As an Engineering Intern at Canton Drop Forge, you will gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in custom and closed die forging. Your responsibilities will include assisting senior engineers in the design, development, and optimization of forging processes. You will support the production team by analyzing manufacturing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and quality. Additionally, you will participate in root cause analysis for production issues, help maintain technical documentation, and contribute to project planning and execution. You will also have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations. This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to engineering principles in a real-world manufacturing environment, allowing you to apply academic knowledge to solve technical challenges.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Prior internship or co-op experience in manufacturing is a plus.
