Counseling Intern (PAID INTERNSHIP)

The Counseling Intern provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to a diverse client population under the supervision of a LPCC-S. Services are delivered in-home, in-office, or within the community. Primary responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, performing initial assessments and intake evaluations, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The intern collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate client care, participates in case consultations, and adheres to ethical and legal standards. Additionally, the intern may assist with crisis intervention, client advocacy, and referral coordination. This role offers hands-on experience in a clinical setting, focusing on direct client care and professional development.

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a master's degree program in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. Must be eligible for or hold a counseling intern license or registration as required by state regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and in various settings (home, office, community). Basic knowledge of diagnostic criteria and therapeutic modalities. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Previous experience in mental health or social services preferred but not required.
