KPMG Audit Apprenticeship

As an Audit Apprentice at KPMG, you will be an integral part of the audit team, working on a variety of client engagements across different industries. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the execution of audit procedures, ensuring that financial statements are accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards. You will learn to perform detailed testing of financial transactions and balances, document audit evidence, and identify potential risks or discrepancies. Under the guidance of experienced auditors, you will develop skills in data analysis, financial reporting, and professional skepticism. You will also participate in client meetings, helping to build relationships and understand their business operations. The role involves using KPMG's proprietary audit tools and software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. You will be expected to manage your time effectively, meet deadlines, and communicate findings clearly to senior team members. To be considered for this apprenticeship, you should have a strong interest in pursuing a career in audit or professional services. You will need to have achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Mathematics. Additionally, you should have at least 96 UCAS points from your A-levels or equivalent qualifications. No prior work experience in audit is required, but you should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. You must be comfortable with numerical data and have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with colleagues and clients. You should be proactive, eager to learn, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
