Design Engineer Internship

As a Design Engineer Intern, you will support the engineering team in designing and developing modular manufacturing solutions for renewable energy, battery storage, telecommunications, petrochemical, utility, and transportation sectors. Your responsibilities include: - Assisting in the creation and modification of 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) based on customer specifications. - Collaborating with senior engineers to review design requirements, perform calculations, and ensure designs meet performance and safety standards. - Participating in design reviews and providing input on manufacturability, cost reduction, and quality improvements. - Supporting prototype development and testing, including documenting results and recommending design adjustments. - Preparing technical documentation such as bill of materials, assembly instructions, and design reports. - Coordinating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to resolve design-related issues. - Conducting research on new materials, technologies, and industry standards to enhance product designs. - Assisting in the preparation of design proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. - Maintaining organized project files and ensuring compliance with company design procedures and regulatory requirements.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. - Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) is required. - Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical ideas clearly. - Prior internship or project experience in design or manufacturing is a plus. - Familiarity with modular construction or renewable energy systems is desirable. - Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
