General Internship

As a General Intern at Southwest Human Development, you will gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector by working alongside experts who provide services to children and their families. Your responsibilities will include supporting various departments such as Early Childhood Education, Family Services, and Mental Health. You will assist in program implementation, data collection, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. You will participate in team meetings, contribute to project planning, and help with community outreach efforts. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to observe and learn from professionals in the field, developing your professional skills through direct field experience. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how nonprofit organizations operate and serve their communities.

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student from any academic track or diverse background. Strong interest in nonprofit work, particularly in early childhood education, family services, or mental health. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to commit to a set schedule during the internship period.
