Project Engineer Internship

As a Project Engineer Intern, you will support project teams in the planning, execution, and closeout of water and wastewater treatment facility construction projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with project documentation, such as submittals, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. You will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field staff to track project progress, monitor schedules, and update project controls. Additionally, you will participate in site visits to observe construction activities, verify compliance with specifications, and assist in quality control inspections. You will help prepare meeting minutes, maintain project files, and contribute to cost tracking and reporting. This role offers hands-on experience in self-perform construction, where you will learn to coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support project delivery. You will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives, applying problem-solving skills to enhance project efficiency and safety.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Interest in construction project management and water/wastewater infrastructure. Prior internship or coursework in construction is a plus.
