Summer Merchandising Internship

As a Summer 2026 Merchandising Intern, you will support the merchandising team in executing product strategies and driving sales performance across assigned brands. Your responsibilities will include: Product Assortment Planning: Assist in analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to help develop seasonal product assortments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand strategies and financial targets. Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Support communication with vendors and suppliers to track sample development, production timelines, and delivery schedules. Help maintain accurate records of product specifications and order statuses. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock allocations to optimize sell-through rates. Participate in weekly inventory reviews and contribute to markdown and promotional strategies. Competitive Analysis: Conduct research on competitor products, pricing, and merchandising strategies. Prepare reports and presentations to share insights with the merchandising team. Sample Management: Organize and maintain sample inventory for meetings, photoshoots, and presentations. Coordinate sample requests and returns with internal teams and external partners. Administrative Support: Assist with daily administrative tasks including data entry, meeting scheduling, and maintaining merchandising documentation. Support the team in preparing for buyer meetings and market weeks. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product execution. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and product offerings. This internship provides hands-on experience in the full merchandising lifecycle, from concept to consumer, within a dynamic apparel company.

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in fashion merchandising, business, marketing, or a related field. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). - Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. - Interest in the apparel industry and understanding of retail merchandising concepts. - Prior internship or work experience in retail or fashion is a plus but not required. - Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer of 2026.
