As an IT Engineer Apprentice, you will work within a hybrid role, gaining exposure to various elements of the company, including field-based and office-based responsibilities. Your primary duties will involve providing IT support to a wide range of customers across different vertical markets in Scotland and the UK. You will assist in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, primarily working with the Microsoft stack. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line and second-line technical support to clients, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assisting with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
- Supporting the implementation and management of Microsoft technologies, such as Windows Server, Office 365, and Azure.
- Participating in on-site visits to customer locations for installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborating with the IT support team to document processes, solutions, and system configurations.
- Monitoring system performance and security, ensuring compliance with company and client policies.
- Assisting with backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Engaging in continuous learning and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Contributing to team projects and initiatives to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
