Drafting Technician

As a Drafting Technician, you will support active engineering projects by creating and updating fabrication-level technical drawings. Your primary responsibilities include: - Creating and revising technical drawings using CAD software. - Applying redline feedback and design changes to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications. - Collaborating with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and translate them into detailed drawings. - Maintaining organized drawing files and documentation for project reference. - Reviewing drawings for errors, inconsistencies, and adherence to standards. - Assisting in the preparation of drawing packages for fabrication and construction. - Updating existing drawings to reflect modifications or revisions as needed. - Ensuring all drawings meet company and industry quality standards. - Communicating effectively with team members to resolve design issues and clarify requirements. - Supporting multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications and requirements: - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). - Associate degree in drafting, CAD technology, or a related field, or a CAD certificate from a trade school or equivalent hands-on experience. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawing. - Ability to interpret redline feedback and implement design changes. - Basic understanding of engineering principles and fabrication processes. - Good organizational and time management skills. - Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. - No prior professional experience required; recent graduates or entry-level candidates are welcome.
