岗位职责
As a MET Technician Apprentice, you will develop the skills necessary to diagnose and repair faults in modern vehicles, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and trim (MET) systems following accident damage. Your primary responsibilities include:
Diagnosis and Fault Finding: Learn to assess vehicle damage and identify issues in mechanical and electrical systems, using expert judgment to determine the most effective repair approach for each individual case.
Mechanical and Electrical Repairs: Remove, renew, and refit mechanical and electrical components, including engines, transmissions, wiring harnesses, sensors, and control modules, ensuring all systems function correctly after repairs.
Trim and Interior Work: Remove, repair, and refit vehicle trims, such as dashboards, door panels, seats, and headliners, restoring the interior to pre-accident condition.
Use of Advanced Tools and Technology: Operate the latest diagnostic equipment, tools, and technology to perform accurate repairs and calibrations, staying current with evolving vehicle technology.
Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets safety and quality standards, performing tests and adjustments as needed to guarantee proper functionality.
Collaboration and Learning: Work alongside experienced MET Technicians and other team members, receiving on-the-job training and mentorship to build proficiency in all aspects of MET repair.
