Nurse Extern I-Nursing Internship-PRN

As a Nurse Extern I in the Nursing Internship program, you will work under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide a wide variety of services to patients and customers. Your responsibilities include assisting with patient care activities such as vital signs monitoring, hygiene assistance, mobility support, and documentation. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients. This role is designed to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge through hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. You will participate in patient assessments, report changes in patient condition to supervising nurses, and support the implementation of care plans. Additionally, you may assist with patient education, discharge planning, and maintaining supplies and equipment. The position requires adherence to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient confidentiality standards. You will also engage in learning opportunities provided by the internship program to develop professional nursing competencies.

Currently enrolled in an RN degree program. Minimum GPA of 2.5 (must provide unofficial transcript). Must not be on academic probation and must be in good standing with current nursing program. Must provide a letter of recommendation from a nursing instructor. Must submit a 500-word essay identifying why they chose the field of nursing.
