Safety Internship

As a Safety Intern, you will work side-by-side with experienced safety professionals and project leaders on real heavy civil construction projects. Your responsibilities include collaborating with safety specialists to promote a culture of safety on-site, assisting in training employees on safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations, participating in incident investigations and documenting findings, supporting the development and implementation of safety plans and policies, and maintaining accurate safety records and reports. You will also engage with project teams to address safety concerns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in construction safety management, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios and develop skills in risk assessment, communication, and leadership.

Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic knowledge of construction safety principles and regulations is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to work on active construction sites and travel to project locations along the East Coast.
