Engineering Internship at Superior Metals Manufacturing - Summer

As a Summer Engineering Intern at Superior Metals Manufacturing, you will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Assisting engineering teams in the design, development, and optimization of metal manufacturing processes. - Conducting data collection and analysis to support process improvement initiatives. - Participating in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues. - Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure efficient operations. - Preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations on project findings. - Performing hands-on tasks in the plant, including observing and assisting with equipment setup and testing. - Contributing to safety and quality compliance by following standard operating procedures. - Engaging in problem-solving activities to address real-world manufacturing challenges. - Participating in team meetings and providing input on engineering solutions.

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications: - Currently enrolled as a college student pursuing a degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, industrial, materials, or related field). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to think critically and work in a team-oriented environment. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Prior internship or project experience in manufacturing is a plus. - Must be able to work on-site in Chittenango, NY for the duration of the internship (May – August 2026). - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
