As a Drafting Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in drafting and design within a professional engineering environment. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Creating and revising technical drawings and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborating with senior drafters and engineers to interpret design concepts and translate them into detailed drawings.
- Assisting in the preparation of documentation for project proposals, including layout plans, elevation views, and section details.
- Reviewing and verifying drawings for compliance with industry standards, codes, and company guidelines.
- Participating in team meetings to discuss project progress, design changes, and technical challenges.
- Maintaining organized files of drawings, revisions, and related project documents.
- Supporting the design team in conducting site visits or field measurements as needed to gather data for drawing updates.
- Learning and applying best practices in drafting techniques, software tools, and project workflows.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to drafting processes or templates.
- Completing assigned tasks within deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a final-year student in a drafting, design, or related technical program.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) is required.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, including dimensioning, scaling, and annotation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and interpreting design instructions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of engineering or architectural concepts is preferred.
- Prior internship or project experience in drafting is a plus.
